My 14 year old son is going to school, several states away, at UNCSA for their ballet program. We're terribly proud of him, but miss him horribly.
I've been making him postcards, and mailing them once a week. He loves getting them and showing them off to his friends. (which makes me feel all warm inside) Its really my way of sharing pieces of who I am with him.
this is so sweet. and i love that he'll always have such cool keepsakes :)
ReplyDeleteWhen my kids were younger they attended a week long summer camp every year. That first year I handmade all the postcards they each got. (and it nearly killed me!)
ReplyDeleteHe told me not long ago that it was one of his fondest childhood memories, so I figured this was a great time to revive it.
He displays them on the corkboard above his desk. Imagine how covered his wall will be when he graduates! :)
